R. MULLEN, LIVESTOCK BUYER DIES
Robert J. Mullen, 84, a retired Dougherty livestock buyer, died Monday night at a Mason City hospital.
Mr. Mullen was born Jan. 9, 1877, in Argyle, Wis., the son of John and Mary (McCue) Mullen. He attended rural schools in Argyle and at Dougherty where he moved with his family in 1889. He was active in the livestock buying business until he retired in 1956.
Mr. Mullen was a member of St. Patrick's Parish and the Holy Name Society at Dougherty.
He is survived by his sister, Margaret Mullen, Dougherty. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers.
Friends may call at the Dougherty home after 10 a.m. Wednesday. The parish Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday and burial will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery at Dougherty. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at the Hogan-McKee Colonial Funeral Home.

OFFER MASS THURSDAY FOR R. MULLEN
A requiem high Mass was scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Dougherty, for Robert J. Mullen, 84, a retired Dougherty livestock buyer. Mr. Mullen died Monday night at a Mason City hospital.
The Rev. Ronald Axen, pastor of St. Patrick's Church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery at Dougherty. The Hogan-McKee Colonial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
