The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Sunday and continue at 7:00 am until 10:30 am on Monday.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Sunday by Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert.
Rev. Donovan Labbe, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Parks, will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Music will be provided by Pope Huval and Beth Hebert. Reading the scriptures will be Lindsey Chevalier and Belinda Bienvenu. Gift bearer will be Liz Angelle.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum - No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Mrs. Angelle was very active and loved gardening; she had an immaculate yard and also grew a vegetable garden. She was a former member of the Widows of the Teche and worked at St. Martin Hospital as a nurse's aide for several years.
She is survived by her son, Wayne Angelle and his wife, Elizabeth (Liz) Allemand Angelle of Breaux Bridge, her daughters, Hazel A. Lavergne and her husband, Norman Lavergne of Breaux Bridge, Rita Mae A. Chelette of Colfax, Barbara A. Oglesby and her husband, Joseph (Joe) Oglesby of Breaux Bridge and Leona A. Dalfrey of Lafayette, her sisters, Merlynn C. Webre (age 91) and Anna Lou C. Hayes (age 96) both of Breaux Bridge, 22 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren, 57 great great grandchildren, and 1 great great great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her son, Harry Lee Angelle and 3 infant children, her father, Eraste Champagne, her mother, Theodora Thibodeaux Champagne, her brothers, Samuel and Joseph Champagne and her sisters, Vinet C. Patin, Isabelle C. Broussard and Ollie C. Thomassee and her son in law, Buddy Chelette.
Pallbearers will be Gregory Hebert, Johnny Benoit, Ross Dalfrey, Trent Thibodeaux, Derek Angelle and Beau Latiolais.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne P. Angelle, Norman Lavergne, Joseph Oglesby and Aaron Naquin.
