Melvin J. Bradberry, 56, a native and lifelong resident of Grand Isle, La., died at 1:59 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2010.
Mr. Bradberry was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Isle Catholic Church. An employee of GIS (Grand Isle Shipyard), he was an avid dove hunter.
He is survived by his special friend, Lisa Tivet; sons, Joseph (Kisha) and Justin Bradberry; stepchildren, C.J., Heidi and Lan Tivet; brothers, Bobby, Lackey, Ruvin, Georgie, Thomas and Alfred Bradberry; sisters, Phyllis, Kate, Blondie, Beulah, Kerry, Alice Patti and Joyce Bradberry; and three grandchildren.
He is buried at Our Lady of the Isle Catholic Church Cemetery.
