ALLEN, Benjamin L. age 81 of Morrow, Ohio passed peacefully Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Bethesda North Hospital. Born February 26, 1933 in Trixie, Kentucky, Benjamin was the son of Gilbert and Della (Webb) Allen and was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather and was one of 16 children in his family. Benjamin was a proud U.S. Army Veteran and a self-employed contractor by trade. Benjamin was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in South Lebanon, Ohio, a licensed pilot and enjoyed fishing and spending time with family. Preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin leaves behind his loving wife Jolene (Van Cleve) Allen of Morrow, Ohio, son Mitchell (Yasmeen) Allen; grandchildren Benjamin, Tara and Sophia Allen and many other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday, October 2, 2014 from 11am until 1pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1pm with Reverend Arthur McFarland officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow int he Deerfield Cemetery, South Lebanon, Ohio.
