burial per Russell family records*, "Rhoda Susan Abney Russell died Sept. 1836 (Bible record) in Bedford Co., Tenn and is buried in the Russell family burial ground near Richmond, Tenn. in an unmarked grave, but near her granddaughter Martha Freeman Russell who has a large stone still standing. Rhoda Susan Abney Russell was remembered by her granddaughter Lucy Russell Allen who related manly interesting incidents of this grandmother to her daughter, Pocahontas Allen Considine".

Married 1785 in St. Marks Parish, Culpeper, VA.

She was buried in on the place now (1983) owned by Joe Russell. Spent last years living in the home of her son William Madison Russell Sr. per BettyPhillips.net/Abney.htm.

* Abney family records have not confirmed Rhoda is the daughter of Abraham Abney. And, since this Bio seems to have come from Hensell's work (which this family uses for documentation) this Susan Abney is more likely the daughter (and sister of John's son William) in the John Abney line of Illinois.
