"MELCHOIR HUMIG, age 71, died at his home here Wednesday night, July 13. Survivors are the widow, four daughters, Sister Gertrude, and Sister Agnes Catherine, of the Order of St. Francis, Mrs. Harry Reifel, and Agnes of Indianapolis, and two sons, William, and Ferdinand, of here. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 8 o'clock at St. Michael's Church, with burial in St. Michael's cemetary." (Brookville Democrat July 1932)
