"EDWARD J. HUMIG, son of Melchoir Humig, died at the home of his parents in this city Sunday, June 16, 1918, aged 27 years. Mr. Humig had been suffering from tuberculosis for a year or more and had not been able to be out for months. The funeral was held at St. Michael's church Wednesday morning. Interment took place in St. Michael's cemetery." (Brookville Democrat June 20, 1918)
