Effie Thomas, age 89, of J.H. Thomas Road, Annville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Saint Joseph London Hospital. She was the mother of Joyce Hurley and James Thomas both of Annville, Kentucky. She was the grandmother of Scarlett Faith Todd of Annville, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Willie Thomas; by her son, Edward Thomas; by three sisters, Bertha Francis, Lydia Spivey, and Eula Carlise; by two brothers, Dorsey Brandenburg, and Lynn D. Brandenburg. Funeral services for Effie Thomas will be conducted Friday, September 12, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in London Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Cornett’s Chapel Cemetery. The family of Effie Thomas will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Friday, September 12, 2014.
