Frederick W. Berry, 61, of Gilpin died at 5:50 p.m. Monday (Dec. 17, 2001) in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Harrison.

Born July 6, 1940, in Kelly Station, Bethel Township, he lived at his present address in Gilpin the past 35 years.

Mr. Berry was a rural paper carrier for the Valley News Dispatch for 10 years before retiring in 1994.

He enjoyed fishing, reading cowboy books, and watching the Steelers.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Donna J. Gill Berry; two sons, W. Daniel Berry of Gilpin and Allen D. Berry of Apollo; three daughters, Mrs. Rory (Margaret "Peggy") Stitt of Allegheny Township, Edith J. Parks of East Vandergrift and Mrs. Jack (Pamela Jo) Hennessy of Beltsville, Md.; 11 grandchildren; a brother, Roy Berry of Apollo; and a sister, Mrs. James (Anna Cathy) Varner of Cleveland.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy E. and Edna Fetterman Berry; five brothers, Edward, Donald, Frank, Paul and Jim Berry; and three sisters, Marcella Neiswonger, Alberta Fennell and Bernice Waltenbaugh.

Friends will be welcomed by his family from 2 to 4 and 6 to the 8 p.m. funeral ceremonies Thursday at CLAWSON'S, Leechburg.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Gilpin.
