Daughter of James A. and Minnie Miller Wells. She graduated from Van Buren High School with the Class of 1939. As a young girl she worked in her father's grocery store in Carbon. She Married Robert L. Herbert, April 30, 1945 in Cardonia, Indiana at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Price. She attended Carbon United Methodist Church and was a member of Eastern Star. She Enjoyed spending many hours putting puzzles together.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert, three brothers, Harry, Charles and Arthur Wells and five sisters, Grace Morgan, Margaret Turner, Florence Craig, Ethel Pell and Ruth Delacca.
Funeral services were officiated by David Wise, and burial followed at Calcutta Cemetery.
