Wilma JoAnn Gatewood Petero, 72, of Hoxie, Arkansas, passed away September 8, 2014, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge.
She was born April 12, 1942, in Bragg City, Missouri, to James and Stella Irene Ledbetter Gatewood.
She was a lifetime resident of Hoxie and was a member of Main Street Church of Christ in Walnut Ridge.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jesse Eugene “Tiny” Gatewood; sisters, Linda Stayton, Pauline Chapell and Ella Hyde; stepfather, Arlie Lewis; stepsisters, Fern Davis, Paulett Dildine and Mary Hays.
She is survived by loving companion, Bob Turnblom; son, Alvin Petero of Minturn; daughters, Schelley Dobbs of Hoxie, Kelly Cheatham of Walnut Ridge; brothers, Clark Gatewood of Lauratown, Bob Gatewood of Paragould, Jimmy Gatewood of Alton, Missouri and James Gatewood of Little Rock, Arkansas; sisters, Norma Counce of Hoxie and Alice Lansdale of Lalamazoo, Michigan; stepbrothers, Rick Lewis and JR Lewis; stepsisters, Brenda Mercer and Willie Tyler.
Funeral Services were at Main Street Church of Christ in Walnut Ridge. Burial was in Whittaker Cemetery.
