Joseph Lang, son of Joseph Lang and Anna Vojt Lang was born on a farm near Cuba, Kan., on September 4, 1880 and passed away at the Republic County hospital on July 14, 1962 at the age of 81 years, ten months and ten days.
"Cappy" as he was better known lived most of his life on a farm near Cuba, Kan. After the death of his parents he lived for a time in Kansas City, later moving back to a farm where he lived until 1960 when he moved to Cuba, Kan. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Cuba.
Joseph was blessed with good health until two months ago when he entered the hospital.
Joseph was the last of nine children having been preceded in death by his parents, five brothers: John, Bernard, George, Charles and William; three sisters, Anna Esslinger, Mary Leshosky and Lena Rickel. Several nieces and nephews survive him.
Funeral services were held at the Tibbetts Bros. Funeral Home on July 16 at 10 a.m. with burial in the Belleville cemetery. Rev. Victor Victoria officiated. Graveside services was by Cuba Lodge No. 362 A.F. & A.M.
