Barney Lang, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Lang, was born January 30, 1875 at Cuba and departed this life April 8, 1941 at the age of 64 years, 2 months and 8 days.

On August 16, 1889 he was married to Miss Lula Barton and to this happy union two sons were born. His wife and one son preceded him in death. He and his son made their home with his parents until May 16, 1916, when he was married to Miss Lucy Cibolski, who with his son, two sisters, three brothers and three grandchildren are left to mourn their loss.

Here in the community he grew from childhood to manhood. Throughout all of his life Barney had been fine, strong, clean and beloved and respected by all his family and neighbors. In times of trouble he was ever ready with help and sympathy for those who needed help. May the bread he cast upon the waters be returned to those whom he left, many fold.

The funeral services were held at St. Isidore's Catholic Church at 10 o'clock Thursday morning. Father McKenna conducted the services, and his body was laid to rest in the St. Isidore's cemetery.
