Ralph Wetzel Hundley, 63, former chairman of the Northumberland County Board of Supervisors from 1958 -1983, died Saturday. Hr. Hundley operated Locust Grove Farm, his boyhood home, in Heathsville. He was a member of Smithland Baptist church where he taught Sunday school for 47 years and served as deacon. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vernette Viar Hundley; two daughters, Miss Lynette Hundley of Richmond and Mrs. Almeda H. McKenney of Callao; five sons, David Ralph Hundley and Robert Warren Hundley both of Heathsville, Carroll James Hundley and Charles William Hundley, both of Richmond, and Jean Sturgis Hundley of Frankfurt, West Germany; one brother, Dr. James R. Hundley of Heathsville; three sisters, Mrs. Irma Ball, of Weems, Mrs. Annette Rowe of Baltimore, and Mrs. Almeda Sebra of Perry Hall, MD. A funeral service will be held at 2 P. M. Wednesday at Smithland Baptist Church. Burial will be with Masonic rites at the Hundley Family cemetery.
