Mr. Wilson married Bernice Marie Ferguson in October 1936. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of WWII.

He was survived by his wife, Marie Ferguson Wilson of Winnsboro; one daughter, Jackie Hardy and husband E. J. Sr. of Winnsboro; one son, Kim Wilson and wife Marilyn of Winnsboro; two brothers, John E. Wilson of Newport, VA and Ernest J. Wilson of Alberry, CA; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
