To this union were born six children during their residence in Uniontown/Pillow, Dauphin Co, Pa. Henry Alvin,Charles E, Emma C, Sarah Cordelia, John B, and William Hayes Andre
Jefferson and Catharine Andre were converted in 1867 in the Evangelical Church in Uniontown/Pillow, PA.
In Nov. of 1878 Jefferson came to Furnas Co,NE. to take a homestead in Section four of Lynden Precinct. This was 2 and 1/2 miles North and 2 and1/2 miles West of Hendley, In the spring of the following year, Mrs Andre & the children came to NE in 1880. Arthur and Roy Andre were born on the Homestead.
In 1883 Jefferson and Catharine united with the Baptist Church and in 1892 became a member of the Methodist Church in Hendley, of which he was a faithful worker and member.
Jefferson & Catherine lived on their farm Northwest of Hendley for 25 years. Feeling that they had earned a rest, they moved to Hendley in 1901.
Clare Kellogg, age 23 found in 1920 Lyndon Furnas Neb census living with his grandmother Catharine Andre age 72.
Catharine died December 28, 1928 while residing in the Soldiers home at Burdett, Nebraska where she had lived for the last 3 years. Her obituary was published in the Wilsonville Review on January 3, 1929. She was buried with Jefferson in Hendley Cemetery.
