John B. Andre, son of Jefferson Andre and Catherine Bingaman Andre was born in Union Town, PA on June 14, 1876 and departed this life on July 24, 1951 at the age of 75 years, 1 month and 10 days. He came to Hendley, NE at the age of 3 years with his parents. coming by train to Oxford, NE and then on to Hendley in a spring wagon. They were among the early pioneers of that region. On May 25, 1902 he was united in marriage to Maude Keeler at Marshalltown, Iowa. They came to Wilsonville on February 10, 1903. To this union were born four children, an infant daughter and an infant son preceding him in death. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Maude Andre: two children, Maudie Fisher of Valentine and David of Wilsonville; five grandchildren and many friends. He was the last one to pass away of a family of 8 children. Mr. Andre will be greatly missed by his relatives and friends. As the days go by our memory will keep recalling the time he was with us in the priceless heritage he left behind in the life he lived as a neighbor, friend, and a help to humanity. He was a man in all that, the name implies and the world is better for having lived therein. The passing of such a personal friend is a shadow across life's pathway and a cause of deep regret. Pallbearers were nephews: Chas. Andre, Clare Kellog, Ray Martin, Glen Martin, Paul McCoy, Truman Walter. Honory pallbearers were: Aaron Mousel, EdCuckler, John Morgan, Al Smith, Ray Goble, A.E.Best, Perry Gilpin. Music was furnished by the male quartet Jerry Colling, Merlin Wilmot, Audrey Wilburn, Lester Cole, and accompanied by Arloa Long, Also a solo by D.M. Thomas of Valentine, NE.

Keeler and Ida Wikle and Daughter Lillian of Marshalltown, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. A.R. Keeler and family of Mc Allen, Texas; Mrs Myrtle Andre and Mr. and Mrs Truman Walter of Scaremento, Calif., Glen Maring and son of Kearney; Mr. and Mrs. Dan Thomas and daughter Margaret of Valentine; mr. and Mrs. Ray Martin of Stamford; Mr. and Mrs Paul McCoy of Edison; Mr and Mrs. Ralph Kellog and son of Danbury; Mr and Mrs. Chas. Andre of Araphoe
