T.L. Hail married F.M. McLaren on 26 March 1857 at Lawrence County, Tennessee. The ceremony that made them man and wife was officiated by Charles J. Herron, of Westpoint, Tennessee. The father of Frank Herron of Young County, Texas.

There were nine children born to this union. Obituary and funeral home records give her name as Loucinda Hale.
