"John A. Hale (Hail)served in the Indian and Seminole War. He and both of his wifes were faithful members of the Methodist Episcopal Church. They lived and died on Knob Creek at their home, and are all three buried at a family grave yard where T. H. Hughes now lives." (From a Family History written by Mattie T. Haynes, grandaughter of John A. Hail, dated June, 1914)
