We had quite a surprise party to celebrate the 55th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Gathings in their home. Survived by his wife; sons - James Allen “Jim” Gathings, Jr; William Richard Gathings; daughters - Lola Marie Washburn, Dorothy Baker, Jo Ann Speck, Joyce Odom, LaWanda Baugaus; one half-brother - Johnny Brady; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
