George Elder Henry was born in Elgin in 1849. He married Agnes Brodie Davidson in 1863 in Sumerstown, Ontario. She was the dau. of James Davidson and Elizabeth Farlinger. To this union were born four children: Elsie Margaret, James Chester, John Gordon and Effie. George died in 1928 in Huntingdon at the age of 79.

06-28-1935 Agnes Brodie Davidson, widow of the late George E. Henry, died at her late residence in Elgin Township PQ, aged 72 years. She was daughter of the late James Davidson and Elizabeth Farlinger, born in Summerstown Ont.. She married George Henry of Elgin, 51 years ago. Her husband pre-deceased her seven years ago, also their oldest daughter, Elsie, when she was 13 years. Those left to mourn her passing are her two sons, John on the homestead, in Elgin, Chester of Bethune Saskatchewan, one daughter, Effie, Mrs. W. Napier of Dundee PQ, two grandsons, and one brother, Gordon Davidson of Dundee, funeral service held from her home, service conducted by her pastor, Rev. P McK Sampson.
