He was a member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church, a retired employee of Chicopee Mfg. Co., and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles for over 50 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, F.M. and Cora Richardson Blagg, two brothers, Homer Blagg, who died in infancy and Chelcy Blagg of Minden, La., and a step-sister, Olive Gatlin of Benton.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Blagg of Little Rock, his son Chancy S. Blagg, Jr. and his wife Berta of Maumelle, a daughter Mary Johnson of Hagarstown, Md., a step-daughter, Peggy Ross and husband Roger of Fort Smith, a step-son Sidney Southern of Little Rock; four grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and six great-grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He is also survived by his previous wife and the mother of his children Emma Blagg of Little Rock.
Funeral services were held at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home on Monday, Jan. 7, with Bro. Mark Harris officiating. Interment followed in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
