Edna Caviness Nixon, of Danville, died Thursday, December 9, 1999 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville, AR. She was born in Gravelly, AR March 1, 1904, daughter of the late John C. and Blanche Montgomery Caviness. She was a retired secretary and a member of the Danville First United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Charles Pugh Nixon and a lifelong democrat.

Survivors include, nieces and nephews, Mrs. Fanny B. George and Mrs. Mary Nell Keathley Lewis both of Danville, AR, Dorothy Caviness and Lillie Ruth Dabbs both of Little Rock, AR, John David Caviness of Sun City, AZ, Col. Kenneth L. Caviness of Rolling Hills, CA, Kathleen Compton Hook of Albuquerque, NM, Kay Gallagher Ridgeway of Jacksonville, FL and Clydene Caviness of Louisiana; several great nieces and nephews, several great-great nieces and nephews, several great-great-great nieces and nephews and several great-great-great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was Saturday, December 11, 1999 at the Danville United Methodist Church with Rev. David Hawkins and Rev. John Miles officiating. Burial was in Earl Ladd Cemetery in Danville, AR. Pallbearers were, Richard Guthrie, Odean Parker, Steve Coger, Earl Johnson, Bill Bob Wood and Ted Lyons. Arrangements by Cornwell Funeral Home of Danville, AR.
