Fort Worth, Texas - Funeral service for Ira H. Cate, 68 of 2933 Gene Lane, retired employee of Armor Co. and a former Dallas resident, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Lucas Funeral Chapel in Fort Worth. Burial in Old Hall Cemetery in Lewisville. Mr. Cate died here Thursday, Survivors: Wife; three sons, Sgt. George F. Cates N.J.; Gary L Cate and Johnny D. Cate, both of Fort Worth; a stepson, Robert McKinney, of Fort Worth; four daughters, Mrs. Frances Harris of Dallas, Mrs. Myrtle Cofer of Winnsboro, Wood County; Mrs. Janice Johnson of Nashville, Tenn., and Mrs. Beverly Smith of Fort Worth; a brother, Homer Cates of Anna, Collin County, and 15 grandchildren Ronnie, Steve, Kenneth, Randy, Raymond, Bobby, Denny, Eddie, David, Patricia, Linda Elaine, Georgia, Sherry, Sara.
