Alonzo D. Cate, 48, died at Lake Dallas at 2:35 a.m. Friday. Funeral services are to be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Lake Dallas Baptist Church. Burial will be in Swisher cemetery. Cate was a native Texan, having been born in Grapevine Jan. 8. 1888. He had lived in this county 28 years. He was married to Miss Ola Gammon Dec. 12, 1908 in Little Elm. He is survived by his wife, his mother, Mrs. James Care, four children Mrs. Elvin Peek of Clairemont, Alvin and A.D. Cate Jr. of Lake Dallas, and six brothers, J. F.(John) Cate, C.C. (Carlos) Cate of New Mexico, J.A.(Jessie) Cate of Little Elm. D.L.( Dea) Cate of Houston, I.H. (Ira)Cate of Dallas and E. H.(Homer) Cate of Westminster. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
