Surviving in addition to his wife are: nine children, Mrs. Marie Baker, Pauline Groft, Mrs. Emma Storm and Mrs. Genevieve Gulden, all of McSherrystown; Mrs. Margaret Smith and Earl Groft, both of Hanover; Robert Groft and Mrs. Helene Smith, Hanover and Sister Agatha Marsie, St. Louis Mission, and seven brothers and sisters, William and Albert Groft and Mrs. John Klunk, McSherrystown; Mrs. Clarence Nunemaker, Hanover; George Groft, Gettysburg and Gertrude and Grace Groft, both of Hanover.
Funeral services Friday at 8:30 a.m. with prayers at the Kernan Funeral Home, McSherrystown, followed by a Requiem Mass at 9 o'clock in the Annunciation Church. The Pastor, Rt. Rev. Msgr, Patrick F. McGee, will be celebrant. Interment in the parish cemetery.
