Albert A Groft, 65, husband of Regina Marie (Pohlman) Groft, died Friday at 7 a.m. at his residence in McSherrystown.

A retired shoemaker, the deceased was the son of the late Aloysius and Annie (Hufnagle) Groft. He was a member of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society.

Surviving, in addition to his wife are six sons, Carroll Groft and Leo Groft, both of McSherrystown; Herbert Groft and Donald Groft, both of Hanover R. 4; Paul Joseph Groft, at home; and Francis Groft, McSherrystown; five daughters, Mrs. Kathleen Miller, Mrs. Doris Jones, Mrs. Rita Herrell, Mrs. Eva Gebhart, all of McSherrystown; and Mrs. Jean Orndorff, Gettysburg R. 5; two brothers, William Groft, Hanover R4; and George Groft, Gettysburg; four sisters, Gertrude Groft, Grace Groft and Mrs. John Klunk, all of Hanover; and Mrs. Mamie Nunemaker, Hanover R. 4; and 21 grandchildren.

Funeral services Monday at 8:30 a.m. at the Harry Walter Funeral Home, McSherrystown, followed by high mass of requiem at the Annunciation Church at 9 a.m. with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Patrick F. McGee as celebrant. Interment in the parish cemetery.
