Services for Mrs. I.M. Cates, pioneer resident of Foard County, Texas, were held at First Baptist Church with Rev. N.B. Moon, pastor, officiating.
Mrs. Cates united with the Baptist Church as a young child and lived a consistent Christian life. She always spoke a good word for her friends and was always helpful to others. Her home and her children were the center of her life.
Survived by nine children; 33 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; two sisters - Mrs. S.E. Weaver and Mrs. A.C. Miller.
One grandson, Marvin Cates, lost his life in World War II.
