Herbert V. Almond, 56, Tulsa, a former resident of McAlester died Sunday morning at his home after an unexpected heart attack. Almond a native of Antlers had been a teller in the First National Bank of Tulsa for 30 years. Before going to Tulsa in 1925 he was employed at the City National Bank of McAlester for seven years. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and of the Masonic Lodge. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday under the direction of the Stanley Funeral Home in Tulsa. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Oak Hill Cemetery here. The Humphrey Funeral Home will assist in the service. He is survived by his wife, Ruby and a son, Douglas Almond, of the home, and his mother, Mrs. Henry Almond, Broken Bow. His wife is the daughter of Mrs. T. C. Collier, 513 East Grand. Other survivors include five brothers, Julius Almond of Enid, Byrd and Thomas Almond both of Oklahoma City. Tony Almond of Pauls Valley and Joseph Almond of Amarillo, Tex.; and three sisters, Mrs. Paul Stewart of Antlers, Mrs. J. W. Kirksey of Kilgore, Tex.; and Mrs. Kenneth Samuels of Long Beach, Calif.
