Glen V. Compton, 74, of Louisa, died Monday, September 1, 1997 in Three Rivers Medical Center. Mr. Compton was born March 20, 1923 in Logan, WV, a son of the late W.D. and Laura Van Horne Compton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Carr Compton in 1984, a daughter, Diana Compton and a son, Mark Compton. He was a retired employee of Monroe Steel Casting Company, Monroe, MI, a World War II Army veteran and a member of First United Methodist Church, Louisa, KY. surviving are a son, Glen Curtis Compton of Louisa, 2 daughters-in-law, Vickie Compton and Barbara E. (Bobbi) Compton, both of Louisa;
7 sisters, Avis Foley, Edra Fern Short, Maris Lucas, Corlis Barnette, all of Louisa, Inis Freelander of Long Beach, CA, Joy McComas of Cincinnati, OH, and Janis Hayes of Batavia, OH; 4 brothers, Jack Compton, David Compton, and Ned Compton, all of Louisa and Nick Compton of Weston, OH, and one grandson, Jeffrey Curtis Compton. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
