A GOOD WOMAN CALLED
Death of Mrs. Dora M. Lenig Friday at 5 O’clock P. M.
Mrs. Dora Myrtle Lenig, the beloved wife of Rev. Dr. Frank Lenig, presiding elder of the M. E. Church for the Sedalia district, died at the family residence, 1321 South Osage street at 5 o’clock Friday afternoon, of consumption, after having been bedfast since February 15th, last.
Mrs. Lenig’s maiden name was Dora Myrtle Irwin. She was born near Wawarsing, Ulster county, N. Y., Sept. 22, 1860, and was married to Rev. Lenig at Ridgeway, Pa., Sept. 2, 1880. Five children were born of the union and survive her, viz: Frank I., aged 14 years; Olive A., aged 12; Laura L., aged 10; Ralph A., aged 8, and Guy C., aged 4.
Mrs. Lenig has been a resident of Sedalia two years, coming here from St. Louis, and had endeared herself to all with whom she came in contact. She was a most estimable Christian woman, a devoted wife, affectionate mother and kind friend and neighbor, and in their irreparable loss the family will have the sympathy of the entire community.
The burial service will be held at the First M. E. church at 2:30 o’clock this afternoon, Rev. H. D. Stauffer, the pastor, officiating, and will be assisted by other divines of the city.
The following gentlemen will act as pall-bearers: W. L. Porter, M. Harter, E. E. Johnston, W. Roemer, Wm. Jolly and J. W. Kennedy.
