Amelia Bagley, daughter of John J Bagley 1828 – 1894 and Elizabeth "Betsey" Brassee 1834 – 1899, was born in 1854 in New York and died November 8, 1890 in Sutherland, O'Brien, Iowa. She married John Cooper in July 3, 1873 in Hazel Green, Deleware, Iowa. They lived in Delaware county several years, later moving to O'Brien county where he still resided at the time of his death.
To this union were born seven children, Albert of Spencer, Ia., Edith Kennedy, Roy and Henry of Cherokee, Owen of Hartley, Charlie of Sutherland and Earl of Creston, Montana.
