Later Eliza's sister, Mary Talithia Hanks Witherspoon, died in Texas, leaving several children. Mary was the 2nd wife of Jno. M Witherspoon. John returned to Obion County with his small children. He and Eliza [widow of James Alexander Moore] were married. They raised the small children to adulthood/marriage. Then John returned to middle Tennessee to live with other family. Eliza remained with her family in Obion Co. When John died, he was buried at Old Knob Creek Cemetery in Maury Co., TN beside Mary Talithia. Eliza was buried beside James Alexander at Mt Moriah Cemetery, Obion Co. Tennessee.
