Mary Catherine Burkepile was the the 8th of 10 children born to Henry David and Hannah Jane (Yockey) Burkepile. She was born in Centre Township of Perry County, Pennsylvania near New Bloomfield, but grew up in Saville Township.

Around 1876 she married Samuel B Noll. Following his death, she married William Henry Lippy but was again left a widow after about 5 years of marriage. She moved to Charleroi and lived with her sister Elmira Worthington until her death.

Mary had no children.

MRS. MARY LIPPEY [sic]

Mrs. Mary Lippey, age 76 years, died this morning, February 15, 1932, at 10:40 o'clock at the home of her sister, Mrs. D. F. Worthington, 215 Lookout avenue. Mrs. Lippey, who had been a resident of Charleroi for the past fifteen years, had been ill for a period of about one year.
The deceased was a devoted member of Christ Lutheran church. she had a large number of friends in the community who mourn her passing.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. D. F. Worthington, of Charleroi, Mrs. Agnes Markle, of New Bloomfield, Pa., and a brother, Harry D. Berkepile [sic], of Newport, Pa.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
