Only half an hour before he would have finished his first shift as a member of the drilling crew of the Sun Oil Co's Brown #8 operation near Richland,L.Eugene Goldman(sic), 23 yrs old of Pollack LA, fell to instantaneous death from the top of the derrick shortly before midnight last night. The cause of the fall could not be ascertained. The body was brought to Corsicanna (TX) this morning.
The body will be forwarded to Pollack upon instructions of the dead man's father, W.H Goldman(sic), whose home is at that place.
Goldman(sic) had only gone to work for Sun company yesterday but had been employed by them previously in other tests in this field.
