GRAY, Laura Josephine - Visitation for Laura Josephine Gray of Everson will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday at Gillies Funeral Home. A service will be at 1 p.m. at Gillies Funeral Home with David Reed officiating, followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.


Mrs. Gray died Thursday, Sept. 11, 1997, at Apple Valley Adult Care Home. She was 92.


Born Feb. 16, 1905, on Orcas Island, she moved to Bellingham at the age of 14 and graduated from Bellingham High School.


She married Charles Gray on Feb. 28, 1925, in Bellingham. A homemaker, Mrs. Gray also operated a strawberry farm on Bob Hall Road with her husband until his death in 1988.


She attended Sunrise Baptist Church and was a member of Delta Grange. Mrs. Gray enjoyed fishing, crocheting, flowers, and supporting the Seattle Sonics and Mariners teams. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by sister Ella Crowley and brother Ed Bull.


Survivors include sons Ronald Gray of Everson, Robert Gray of Lynnwood and Ralph Gray of Bellevue; daughters Marian Eaton of Loughlin, Nev., and Betty Parsons of Foxworth, Miss.; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great- grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
