She is dau. of John but may be by first or second wife depending on her birth year which has been estimated and not definitively established. She was listed as Rachel Ayrs in her father's 1797 will. Research is needed to prove her children. Several are suspected to be her children and listed but no proof.

MARRIAGE: estimated from approximate ages of children and her father's will dated 1797 proves she was married before that date.

DEATH: Rachel Ayres death might have been late 1818 or Jan, Feb 1819 from property and slaves sold by Thomas W Ayres 26 Feb 1819. See Maryland Land Records for Harford County: Liber 2, folio 36 and Liber 31, folio 140

Her husband appears to be Thomas W. Ayres per censuses. A Thomas Wilmot Ayres later married a Susan Sharp and appears to be the same man.

His daughter Ann Ayres tombstone says she is daughter of Thomas and Rachel Ayres.
