I knew her by a name she acquired when she bought a big two story house in Daytona Beach, Florida, and in order to make a living to raise her twelve children after she was widowed twice, she rented out rooms to boarders who called her MaWhit. That was because her last name was Whitmore. So I only knew her by MaWhit, not Grandma. More to come later.
Working on a bio that will do this incredible woman justice.
She is sorely missed and will be forever remembered.
