Buried at Jefferson Cemetery on Monday April 7, 1924. The funeral director was C. O. Goodling of Seven Valleys.

JOHN W. STERNER
John Wesley Sterner died at his home in Jefferson this morning at 6 o'clock. Death was due to dropsy after an illness of ten weeks.
Mr. Sterner was aged 58 years, six months and three days.
Mr. Sterner was for eighteen years a butcher at Porters Sideling and later for about four years a farmer near Seven Valleys. Lately he had been living retired.
Surviving are his wife, who before marriage was Miss Rosetta Hoff, and eight children as follows: Mrs. W. C. Dubs, Baltimore; Anthony F. Sterner, Baltimore Street; Edgar Sterner, Hanover; Mrs. Charles Brenneman, Strickhousers; Mrs. Roy Jacobs, Jacobs Mills; Mrs. Harry Imhoff and Mrs. John Toot, Hanover, and Mrs. Guy Crist, Jefferson. Fifteen grandchildren also survive.
Mr. Sterner was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Sterner.
The funeral will be held on Monday afternoon with services at the United Brethren Church, Jefferson, at 1:30 o'clock. The Rev. J. E. B. Rice will officiate. Interment will be made in the Jefferson Cemetery.
