Ida B. Toot

YORK – Ida B. Toot, 79, widow of John L. Toot, formerly of 11S½ Broadway, Hanover, died Saturday at York Hospital. For the past eight months she had been a guest at Pleasant Acres, York.
Born in Heidelberg Township, she was a daughter of the late John and Rosetta Hoff Sterner and a member of Lohr's Memorial United Methodist Church, Hanover.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Gwendolyn) Carl, 443 E. Main St., Dallastown, and Mrs. Jean Landis, 319 N. Hawthorne St., York; a son, William John Toot, Pasadena, Texas; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Wetzel Funeral Home, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, with the Rev. Paul Shaffer officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends may call Wednesday morning one hour prior to the service. There will be no viewing Tuesday.
