Gladys Hawkins Roberts, 87, of Carrollton, Ky., died June 10, 2001, at Carroll County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Oct. 24, 1913, in Port Royal, Ky., the daughter of William and Lavain Tingle Hawkins. She was a retired executive of Holiday Inn and was a member of the Methodist Church.

Surviving are one son, Charles E. Roberts of Carrollton; one sister, Mary Turner of Vevay; one grandson; and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers, Joe, Suter, Earl, Luther, James, John, and George Hawkins; and five sisters, Tilda Ann Hawkins, Laura Berry, Edna Williams, Willetta Wheeler and Angla Aldridge.

Services will be at 11 a.m. EDT Wednesday at the Graham-Dunn Funeral Home in Carrollton, with burial in the Port Royal Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. EDT today at the funeral home.
