Source: 1900 Panoche, San Benito, California Census; California, Voter Registers, 1866-1898; California County Marriages 1850-1952∼Malchior Strohn was the son of Daniel W. Strohn, and his wife, Martha Noble Strohn. Malchior was born on Dec. 20th, 1827, in the county of Hastings, Ontario, Canada.
Malchior Strohn married Natalia Sanchez in 1863, and had been married for 37 years, according to information discovered in the 1900 United States Census, enumerated in San Benito County.
The family resided in Panoche, where Malchior pursued farming. This census also revealed that Malchior and Natalia were parents of two children, both living, a son Malchior, age 18; and daughter Myrtle A. Strohn, age 12.
Although the 1900 United States Federal Census reported that Malchior and Natalia were parents of two children, both of whom were living, research conducted at the Cherry Hill Cemetery, discovered a grave inscribed: "James S. Strohn, son of M. & I. Strohn". The headstone noted that James S. Strohn had been born on Oct 7, 1878; and had died on Aug 7, 1898. It is suspected that the initials "M." and "I." may have been in reference to, Malchior and Italia (Natalia) Strohn.
Malchoir Strohn passed away on the 21st of May 1903. He was buried at the Cherry Hill Cemetery, in Panoche.
