C. Strohn, Well Known Here, Dies at Hollister
Commodore Strohn, 65, father of Mrs. Albert Elasho (Eva) and Mrs. Isabel Deasy, both of Monterey, passed away early today at the family home in Hollister. He had failed to rally following a recent operation. Mr. Strohn was born in Hollister and has resided there all his life, engaged as a rancher. For the last 15 years he has been constable of Panoche Township, east of Hollister, a position which he held at the time of his death. He has been roadmaster and worked with the sheriff’s office in San Benito county. R. Strohn was also well known in Monterey. Also surviving, in addition to those already mentioned, are his wife, Mrs. Mamie Strohn, and a son, Milton Strohn of Panoche. Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday from the Black and Cooper mortuary in Hollister.
