John M. Kyseth passed away last Sunday morning at one of the hospitals at Bismarck, N.D. The deceased was born September 21, 1872 in Fillmore County, Minn., and was at his death 56 years and 7 months. At the age of 16, he entered the butcher trade and this he has continued all his life. Nineteen years ago, he moved from Fillmore County, Minn., to Fingal, N.D. Here he lived for two years and then moved to Valley City, where he has resided ever since.

He married Mary Oppegaard and to them five children were born, all living in Valley City. They are: Mrs. Gerhard (Minnie) Forthun, Morris, Selmer, Gladys and Chester. Besides his wife and children, he leaves to mourn his death a mother at the age of 86, who lives with her daughter, Mrs. Ole Petterson, Harmony, Minn., Bennie and Magnus Kyseth, also of Harmony; Mrs. Albert Gruedeland, of Mable, Minn., and his brother, Bernt, of LaCrosse, Wis.

The funeral took place Wednesday at 2 o'clock from the First Lutheran Church where a number of friends and relatives had gathered to show respect for the departed one and sympathy for the grief stricken family.

Rev. C. Framstad officiated, choosing as his text Rev. 16:15. Mrs. Sam Mikkelson sang three beautiful solos suitable for the occasion.

The floral tributes were many and beautiful which was a testimony of his many friends.

Interment was made in the Woodbine cemetery.
