Cliff passed away peacefully at St. Anthony Hospital, Gig Harbor. Cliff was born in Litchfield, Minn. to Mary and William Boerner. He had twelve brothers and sisters.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Buddy Phipps. He is survived by his wife, Shirly [sic] of 26 years; eight brothers and sisters; his sons, Steven and Bill Boerner; daughter, Lynn Boerner; eight grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

Cliff served on the battleship USS Indiana BB58 during World War II. He was a barber in Bremerton for 41 years.

Cliff will be laid to rest June 19 at Miller-Woodlawn Cemetery. There will be a viewing at noon at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Rosary at 12:30 p.m. and Mass at 1 p.m., interment at 2:30 at Miller-Woodlawn. There will be a family and friends get-together at Star of the Sea parish center Rms. 1 and 2 after Cliff is laid to rest. All are welcome.
