Vera Angela Graham, 92, passed away Saturday.
She was born in Haddam, Kan., the youngest daughter of nine children born to Martin and Emma Sedlacek.
During World War II, she worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Lincoln, Neb. After marrying James M. Graham in 1944, she moved to Denver, Colo., and finally to Corvallis where her son, Robert Graham, was born.
In Corvallis, she worked at Miller’s Grocery store for many years.
Throughout her life, she enjoyed traveling, swimming, canning and baking Czech pastries. Vera was a great pen pal and utilized local translators to stay in contact with distant relatives in the Czech Republic. She resided in Glenwood Manor for 30 years, where she had many good friends and walked several times a week to Osborn Aquatic Center. She always had time and energy for her family.
Vera was preceded in death by all of her siblings and most of her good friends. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Kathy Graham of Albany; grandchildren Linda Dodson, Robert Graham Jr. and wife Janelle, and Lori Graham; great-grandchildren Lindsey, Brian, Marcus, Cortney, Tyler, Tristan and Jenna; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McHenry Funeral Home in Corvallis.
