Ann Mack Tannahill was the 4th dau. of Hugh Tannahill and Margaret Mack. It was a large family of 12 children and there was a lot of work, play and love. When she was 26 she married William Lanktree on March 30 1871 in Malone, Franklin Co., New York. This was just over the border from Huntingdon and many of the young couples from Huntingdon would be married in the Manse there. After their marriage they moved to Sarpy, Nebraska. Records show that William's brother, John Lanktree, married Anna's sister, Agnes Marshall Tannahill, at the home of William Lanktree in Sarpy County, Nebraska in 1875. 1880 Census records show William and John were both residents and neighbors in Sarpy County. William was a bridge carpenter. William and Anna had a son Walter in 1879 and a daughter Margaret in 1881. Their first child was Mattie, born during the time they lived in Sarpy County. She died in 1879 at the age of 5 years 3 months 22 days. Records show Anna died in Canada in 1882.
