He often intentionally spelled his name "Randal", honoring his namesake illustrious grandfather, Dr. Randal McDonald, who consistently spelled his own name that way.
Randall Donald Cason never married.
His grave's location in Kettle Creek Cemetery was lost decades ago. [NOTE: There is another Randall Cason (Rev. Hillery Randall Cason) buried in Kettle Creek, and he was also born in 1851. The two were cousins.]
