Funeral services for Lucien E. "Jack" Harris, age 84, of Bullard, are scheduled for Monday, June 9, 2014 at 10 am at Autry Funeral Home Chapel, Jacksonville, with Brother Donnie Barron officiating. Interment will be at Bullard City Cemetery.

Jack passed away Friday, June 6, 2014 at his home in Bullard

Jack was born on March 11, 1930 in Limestone County, to Alice and Lofton Harris.

The family moved to Bullard when he was a small boy where he spent the remainder of his life.

He served in the Korean War and discharged in 1952.

In 1953, he married Wanda Jo Robins.

Jack was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.

He was an avid baseball fan, coached his son's little league team and was a founder of the Bullard little league. He also loved hunting, fishing and farming.

Jack worked for Kelly Springfield for 30 years.

He was a Charter member of Bullard Southern Baptist Church and attended regularly until his health would not permit.

He is proceeded in death by his parents; a daughter, Vicki Harris; brothers, Eugene and Thomas Harris; sisters; Clemontine Patterson, Bernice Ray, Sarah Foster, Mary Alice Adams and Elizabeth Ray.

Jack is survived by his wife of 60+ years, Wanda Jo Harris; son Brian Harris and wife Ginger; granddaughters, Summer Williams and husband Jason, Amber Paul and husband Cameron, and Meagan Harris all of Bullard; grandson, Matt Harris and wife Ashley of Garrison; great grandchildren Ty Dowdy, Kaylee Paul and Tripp Harris Williams all of Bullard; brothers, Arlin Harris and Skeeter Harris both of Bullard; sisters, Zane Langley, Martha Spears both of Bullard and Nellie Hathaway of New Boston and numerous nieces and nephews.

All nephews will serve as pallbearers with Rickey Harris, Danny Harris, Stan Harris, Mike Harris, Tom Spears, Eric Spears, Kyle Harris and Shane Harris serving in the active roll.

Visitation will begin on Sunday, June 8, 2014 with family receiving friends from 4 to 6 pm at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
