Margaret A. Jenkins, 87, passed away at the home of her son, J. H. Jenkins of Cavett. She was born January 26, 1855 in Spencerville. Margaret was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. Jones and the widow of J. W. Jenkins. She lived most of her lifetime in Jennings Township and was a member of North Union Methodist Church. Margaret was survived by five children; J. H. Jenkins of Cavett, J. M. Jenkins of Fort Wayne, E. M. Jenkins of North Walnut Street, Mrs. Minnie Peach of Toledo, and Mrs. Emma Williamson of East Sycamore Street; two brothers, Al Jones of Florida and Jessie Jones of Lima; and two sisters, Mrs. Ida Bodkin of Spencerville and Mrs. Alice Patterson of Davenport, Oklahoma. Funeral services were held at the Gamble & Alspach Funeral Home. Burial in Woodland Cemetery.

Margaret was "buried on a mound of earth called THE PEACH-JENKINS MOUND" along with her husband, J. W. Jenkins,daughter, Luly Jenkins, daughter and son-in-law, Minnie A.(Jenkins) and John M. Peach.
